Englewood Beach (previously known as Chadwick Beach and Punta Gorda Beach) is one of four beaches associated with the Gulf Coast community. All four are located on Manasota Key, a barrier island that stretches along the coastline of southwest Florida.
Englewood Beach is the most commercially developed of the four beach locations. There are limited paid parking facilities located by the beach. From 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM parking fees are 25 cents per hour. It is a popular attraction for visitors to the area, particularly during the "spring break" period. During the winter months, part-time residents of the area return to winter homes.
There are restrooms, showers and picnic tables available for public use, with commercial eating establishments within a short walk.
