Tangerine Woods is a deed-restricted, resident owned gated community in Englewood, Florida, 20 miles south of Sarasota and within three miles of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches. The community has a large clubhouse, heated swimming pool with hot tub, exercise room, tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard, and a bocce court. Many of the homes are located on waterfront property.

It has been voted as one of the top 10 destinations and the best affordable neighborhood for retirement in the U.S. We are in a low density area, close to shopping, medical facilities, golf courses and entertainment attractions. Several regional airports including Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, St. Petersburg/Clearwater and Punta Gorda are close.
Volunteerism keeps the community healthy and active. The Lazy Daze & Dazies group gathers weekly to handle maintenance projects around the community. Everyone gets involved in community dinners, dances and holiday decorating. The many efforts and talents of all our volunteers help keep our monthly maintenance fees to a minimum.
Our Recreation Committee provides a sphere of action. A variety of activities occur weekly that create an excellent way to get to know your neighbors and form new friendships.
